The Quarry is a love story graphic novel for YA audiences about young love and loss, set against the harsh winter wonderland of Northern Michigan. Based on the short story by Mike Salisbury and illustrated by Marvin Luna. After a recent family tragedy, a boy sets out to purchase a Christmas tree with the help of his big brothers ex-girlfriend, Katie. Trying to ease his fathers mourning and hold whats left of his family together, Katie and the boy search for a Christmas tree in their small town. Together, they try to reclaim a bit of Christmas and help each other deal with the aftermath of death. The Quarry is a coming-of-age story about young love and loss, set against the harsh winter wonderland of Northern Michigan.
