Omschrijving
The musical manga epic returns, complete in print for the first time! The story of a boy's journey from listless fourteen-year-old to the global rock-'n'-roll stage was one of the most popular manga of the 2000s and inspired a classic anime. Now, on its reunion tour, Beck has never looked better, with a revised translation and brand new cover and interior designs. Omnibus edition includes Vol. 1–2.
BECK is back! Harold Sakuishi's addictive 34-volume rock epic redefined for a generation what manga could be, and now it's back—and this time the entire series is coming to print in oversized, premium-quality paperback omnibuses, featuring selected color pages and exclusive cover illustrations.
Fourteen-year-old Yukio thinks his life is a drag. He has no hobbies. No taste. Even, he thinks, not much personality. Then this shy and neurotic kid has a fateful meeting, with rocker Ryusuke, an unpredictable sixteen-year-old with a cool dog named Beck. Ryusuke has just returned to Japan from America, and he inspires Yukio to get into music, starting the two on a journey toward an unlikely rock 'n' roll dream. Lace up your Docs and watch out in the mosh pit: the manga that defined a genre and spawned a hit anime is back!
