Six months after the alien attack on Vanguard, Aurora and her friends work desperately to keep her special powers a secret. When Scott's father contracts a deadly illness caused by his exposure to her parent's starship, Aurora sets out with Kristine on a rescue mission to a distant proto-planet 440 light years away.
