The one of the greatest things about this comic is that it is just as relevant to read a story about giving Donald Trump a twirly today as it was when this was first published in 1989. Some douche bags just never go away. Sandwiched between the usual Flakey Foont and Mister Natural hilarity is one of Crumb's all time masterpieces: an adaption of Jean-Paul Sartre's Nausea. Crumb's obsessively detailed drawings perfectly capture the claustrophobic surrealism of the writing. This is one of the greatest literary collaborations in comics' history, a perfectly rendered piece of art that one can read over and over.
