Forging his way in a lonely neo-noir metropolis, our hero, Ceegee struggles as he reconciles his place in the world as half-man/half-buffalo. Challenged by trauma-induced amnesia, Ceegee tries desperately to live a normal life as the oddball animal among his human community. He carves a special reputation for himself with his notable knack for two things: jazz music and complaining.??Ceegee spends his day loafing around and drinking coffee at the record store of his landlords, the Cronin family. His primetime slot as a host at the local radio station earns him status as a local celebrity. This recognition catches the attention of programmer Daniël Brennan, who has reasons to believe Ceegee is not who he thinks he is.??As Brennan and his girlfriend Gina begin to plant questions and suspicions in Ceegee's mind, Ceegee goes into a downward spiral of paranoia and anxiety. He soon begins thinking he is the reincarnation of local jazz legend Bunky Wilson. He reaches for answers from childhood friend Sara Cronin, whose grandpa Ben adopted Ceegee 18 years ago when he was found alone and lost in his antique store. ??Brennan attempts to kidnap Ceegee, leading to a wild car chase which results in a demonstration of Ceegee's animal prowess, and ultimately, Brennan's demise. As Ceegee uncovers clues in the aftermath of the accident, he begins to connect the dots...
